Lufthansa Airlines Updates Travelers on Entry Requirements to Germany
Lufthansa Airlines has recently announced the new entry regulations for passengers arriving from countries or regions with increased risk of infection from COVID-19 whose final destination is Germany.
Effective 11 January 2021, travelers are required to hold one of the following: A negative COVID test result, issued within 48 hours before arrival in Germany (PCR, AntiGen, RT-LAMP test accepted); or a vaccination certificate (in case two vaccinations needed, the second vaccination must have been done at least 14 days prior to arrival in Germany).
The passenger can also present a certificate of a positive PCR test result (older than 21 days but not older than 6 months = immunity certificate). The certificates must be in German, English or French. However, If none of the mentioned certificates is available, passengers must undergo a COVID-19 test immediately after entry into Germany.
